Artist and printmaker Pia Östlund explored the lost art of nature printing, a fascinating technique which uses the plant itself to take impressions on paper. Early botanists used nature printing to create plant records of medicinal and useful plants. The process was perfected in the 19th century, creating deceptively life-like plant self-portraits including a beautiful collection held by the RHS Lindley Library.
